Christine was elected President of the Law Society of Scotland for 2015/16.
She is a highly talented and experienced lawyer who is well regarded by others within the legal community. Indeed the retiring President described her as someone of the highest ability and integrity and said he could think of “no better person to be the next president of the Law Society”.
Christine was educated at Arbroath Academy and then Bridge of Don Academy in Aberdeen. She places great emphasis on the value of education.
Christine also believes the legal profession should be diverse and continue to attract talented individuals from all backgrounds. On becoming President she said “If young people have the ability and ambition to become a solicitor, they should not have to encounter unnecessary barriers, particularly financial barriers”.
Her work commitments keep Christine very busy but away from the office she describes herself as “married with two children, a dog and a goldfish”.
