Biography

Christine is one of Scotland’s most highly respected lawyers. She is Chairman of the leading law firm, Brodies LLP, as well as a solicitor advocate and an expert in constitutional reform.

Christine also advises clients on equality and human rights issues as well as acting in high-profile corporate law cases worth millions of pounds.

She has acted for clients challenging decisions of the Scottish Parliament in the UK’s Supreme Court, and has also been appointed by the Scottish Government to represent them in court cases.

All in all, Christine is a hugely talented individual who is highly valued both by her clients and colleagues in the legal profession.

Not surprisingly, she was an excellent student during her time at Notre Dame (now Our Lady & St Patrick’s High School) in Dumbarton on the west coast of Scotland. From there she went on to excel while studying Philosophy and Law at Glasgow University.

Christine next overcame UK-wide competition to win one of only seven Kennedy Scholarships to study at one of the world’s finest universities – Harvard in Massachusetts in the USA – where she gained a master’s degree from Harvard Law School.

This was a remarkable achievement which provided an excellent grounding for the distinguished legal career which has unfolded since.
