Biography
Diane is a Partner in the major international law firm, Pinsent Masons. She is an expert in Employment Law and led the PinsentMasons employment team for 3 years. Before that, she led the McGrigors’ (with whom Pinsent Mason merged in 2012) team for 7 years. Diane then decided to step down to focus on clients.
Of course, the employment relationship is very important to people and organisations, so the advice Diane gives her clients is valued. Over the years, she has developed an excellent reputation with clients describing her as strong, focused, practical and “someone I’m always glad will be on our side”.
Legal directories are also complimentary, having rated Diane as a leader in her field for many years.
Diane has clearly been very successful in the legal sector and therefore offers a great example to younger females just starting out on their legal career. She is also a working mum with two children aged 13 and 15 and a husband who is a former corporate lawyer.
Diane is keen to encourage youngsters in schools and was a great hit when she returned to her former primary school, David Livingstone Memorial PS, in Blantyre. During her visit, she answered questions about her work and encouraged pupils to make the most of their talents by aiming high when they leave school.
Her interests outside work, apart from her family, are running and hill-walking.
