Biography

Housing is a major problem in the UK. A severe shortage of houses means property prices are very high in most regions. It also means some criminals target vulnerable people who are attempting to buy, sell or rent properties.

In these circumstances, a good property lawyer can save clients a lot of money … and Irene is a good property lawyer. In fact, clients have described her as “a very efficient, effective, professional and friendly person to do business with.” Such compliments are important to law firms as satisfied clients often remain with a firm throughout their life.

Irene was originally from East Yorkshire but crossed the Border to study Law at Edinburgh University. She fell in love with Scotland’s capital city and decided to stay on.

In 2004, Irene joined the leading law firm Balfour+Manson as a trainee. She is now an Associate with the firm and highly experienced in all aspects of conveyancing and property law.

Irene’s ability to master complex legal issues not only impresses clients and colleagues, but also gives her a great deal of personal satisfaction. This is one of the reasons she loves being a solicitor.

Irene understands that buying a home is one of the most important and stressful periods in an individual’s life, and therefore strives to make the process as simple and stress free as possible.
